In an increasingly complex and interconnected world, making strategic decisions at the top requires a holistic perspective of the challenges that your organization faces and an integrated framework for innovative and unconventional managing of the strategy process.
In the context of today’s unprecedented political uncertainty and economic upheaval, the ability to create and manage the best soft-environment is fundamental to succeed and to move forward, to grow. It may seem easy but it is often the result of real-life experiences that generate the best decision making process, and as a consequence, the best corporate strategy and eventually innovation. Massimo will describe the key characteristics that any leader, any director, any supervisor, but also any employee should have in order to avoid bad – predictable – surprises.
His professional career starts in 1998 at the Air Force Academy; he accomplished the Military Pilot Training in the USA, then he flew as Operational Fighter Pilot and as Instructor Pilot until he was selected to join the Frecce Tricolori (Italian Aerobatic Team, the largest in the world) where he became Commander (2006-2010), equivalent of CEO of a Company. Frecce Tricolori are an autonomous squadron of the Italian Air Force representing Italian Army and supporting diplomatic and Italian industries around the world. Therefore he always worked in international and multicultural contexts, dealing each time with military, diplomats, politicians, CEO’s, presidents and prime ministers, managing difficult and delicate situations… even with Gheddafi. He went from airplanes to sportive cars as Executive Consultant for Ferrari SpA, at the beginning in the Formula 1 Team, then in the HR Direction as Responsible for the Ferrari Corporate Academy project and for the “Ferrari Corporate Culture” project, lastly he was designated to create and implement the Enterprise Risk Management function, including a Business Continuity and Crisis Management Project, which he has been in charge until May 2017; the focus of this department was to prevent the performance instability and catch all the opportunities. In fact, the “Enterprise Risk Management” is a structured and disciplined approach suitable to align strategy, people, processes, technology, and knowledge, with the aim to evaluate and manage the business risks in an integrated way, focusing on the protection and the growth of the company’s value. Today, with his company MT – Meta Thinking “Thinking above, behind, beyond” Massimo conducts consultancy activities as Advisor for companies, universities, financial institutions, private and public authorities, about different subjects: Business Strategy and Management, Enterprise Risk Management, Human Capital Selection and Management, Business Culture. He is a Mentor and an Executive Coach, believing that coaching is an instrument extremely helpful to orient the different leadership manners, in order to increase personal motivation and enhance each one’s effectiveness, with consequent positive results in business environments also.
